Know which post made the sale
See which of your Facebook posts, Instagram stories, texts and emails turned into orders, and what SellFood brought you on top. Analytics built for people who bake on Thursday and sell out by Saturday.
The problem
Likes and page views don't pay for flour
You post on Facebook, text your regulars, send an email when orders open. Orders come in. But which of those actually sold anything? Most sellers guess, and keep doing whatever felt busiest.
Likes aren't orders
A post with 80 likes can sell nothing while a two-line text to your regulars sells out the batch. Without the order connected to where it came from, you can't tell which one to repeat.
Page views flatter you
Visitor counts include you checking your own shop, bots, and the same buyer three times. A big number that doesn't tell you what to bake or when to post.
Is the fee earning its keep?
You pay a marketplace fee. You should be able to see which orders the marketplace found for you and which ones you brought in yourself.
See how it works
Your link, then your report
Share a tagged link wherever you post. When a buyer orders, SellFood records where they came from, so the report can tell your Facebook post apart from your text and from what SellFood found for you.
1. Make a share link
Preview of the link format. In your dashboard, the Share button on your storefront and each listing builds this for you in one tap.
2. See where orders came from Sample data
Sample numbers for a made-up bakery, not a real seller. Your report uses your own orders, net of refunds, counted the same way as your Accounting page.

Artisan ProQuestions sellers ask
What counts as "SellFood brought you"?
An order counts as SellFood brought you when the buyer first found you through SellFood: the Small Batch hub, the Makers list, search, a state guide, the homepage, a SellFood email, or Google landing them on a SellFood page that isn't your own. An order counts as You drove when the buyer first arrived through one of your share links or straight onto your storefront or listing from somewhere else. Anything we can't tell is shown as Direct or unknown, never folded into either side.
Do my own visits to my shop count?
No. When you are signed in and look at your own storefront or listings, those visits are not counted. Bots are filtered out too. The numbers you see are buyers, not you checking your page.
Can I see what an individual buyer looked at?
No. You see totals, like 12 orders from your Facebook posts this month, or 40 views and 6 orders on your cinnamon rolls. You see who ordered from you, as you do today, but not any buyer's browsing.
Which plan includes analytics?
Every plan includes basic sales charts and top products. The SellFood vs. you sales summary and the sales limit pace forecast will be free on every plan. Sales by source, product views vs. orders, lost demand, the funnel, the monthly PDF report and the rest of the insights come with Artisan Pro and Founding.
When will source tracking be ready?
SellFood starts recording where orders come from on launch day, so your history is there from your first sale. The source reports themselves roll out after launch. Features marked Coming on this page are planned and are included with your plan when they ship, at no extra charge.
